What do you want to be when you grow up?

We've all heard and probably asked it. Has it ever occurred to us, as Christians, what a ludicrous question this is to put to a child?

Why are we not more concerned about teaching our children to acknowledge God in all their ways, so he can direct their paths.

The truth is, God has a plan for each one of our lives, including the lives of our children. Wouldn't the most important thing be to acknowledge God in all our ways and teach them how to acknowledge him in all their ways and stay in God's will, so his plan can unfold in their lives...So that all will be well with them?

Are we trying to realize our own ambitions through our children?
