The truth often enrages those who do not love it

An example would be the case of Stephen-the first Christian martyr

He died speaking the absolute truth

Yet those he was speaking to were in such a blind rage over it

they gnashed on him with their teeth

A thought on leadership

Hebrews 13:17 referrs to spiritual leaders who "watch for our souls" as they must "give an account..."

Is it possible this verse is telling leaders that we will be held personally responsible for any error or mis-behavior on the part of our flock

that is a direct result of our teaching?

Prayer & Fasting

We cannot manipulate people or situations by praying and fasting.

But by praying and fasting, is it possible that we can give someone else a better opportunity to make better choices?

The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

The fast the Lord chooses breaks the band of wickedness and lets the

oppressed go free....

Be careful what you eat...
