Attention "Ladies...."

Why is it that anytime extra nursery workers,  are needed at church or extra goodies at special functions the announcements go only to the “ladies.”

I confess that galls me. it's discriminatory and sexist--keeping the "ladies" where they belong--with the babies and in the kitchen.

Children need interaction with, and influence from Christian men as well as women, and some of these men are just as good or better cooks than the "ladies."

And if anyone feels I'm over-reacting to this, remember, I was on the receiving end of the logical, end result of the misconception of where a woman's place is.
