Why do we love to talk, talk, talk about our infirmities?
All of us don't. But those who do love to talk, talk,
talk about their infirmities are, to some extent, oppressed by spirits of infirmity.
The scriptures give us specific instructions about how to deal with sickness. The scriptures give
us specific instructions about how to order our conversation.
If we are sick, we are instructed to go to the elders of the church and ask them to anoint us with
oil and pray for us.
Concerning our conversation, we are told to speak that which is edifying to the hearer (the hearer
would include ourselves, even if we are the speaker).
Dwelling on the works of the devil is nothing more than glorification of him and his works. There
is no sickness in Heaven. There was no sickness in the garden before the fall.
Sickness is a work of the devil. It is the result of a fallen creation. Even Job's affliction
came from Satan--although not due to any personal sin on Job's part.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil--not to cause us to dwell on them, talk, talk, talk
about them and glorify them. Why are we not dwelling, instead, on the
wonderful works of God and the provision he made for the healing of our bodies? The Bible teaches these things.
It is sin to dwell on the works of the devil. Repent. Renounce and rebuke all spirits of infirmity
that may be oppressing you. Glorify God, and begin believing his report.
Do not allow yourselves to be drawn into conversations glorifying the prince of darkness and his
destructive works.
Are you ready for relief? Read your Bible every day--always picking up today where you left off yesterday. The Book of
John is a good place to start.
We recommend a King James Bible with no footnotes.
